Parent Meetings - Student Free Day
Glen Huon Primary School will have student-free days on the dates listed below to allow time for parent–teacher meetings. These meetings provide parents and carers with the opportunity to meet individually with their child’s teacher to discuss learning progress, wellbeing, and next steps.
Invitations and further details will be sent via Compass closer to the scheduled dates.
Should any concerns need to be addressed prior to these meetings, families are encouraged to arrange an appointment with the relevant staff member. Scheduling meetings in advance allows sufficient time for effective discussion and helps minimise disruption to normal class routines.
We value the strong partnership between home and school and encourage all families to take part in these important meetings.

Classroom access
Classroom doors will open at 8:15am. The first bell, which signals the start of the school day and learning time, will sound at 8:30am.
Morning Arrival Times
8:15am – 8:30am
This is the ideal arrival time for all students, including Kindergarten. Arriving during this window allows children to settle calmly, organise their belongings, and be ready for the start of the school day. Parents may take a few moments to help their child settle and pass on brief messages to the teacher.
After 8:30am
The school day has begun. Students arriving after this time will need to enter the classroom quietly and get organised quickly so learning is not disrupted. To support this, parents are asked not to enter the classroom after the bell.
After 8:35am
Students arriving after this time have missed the start of the school day, including important morning routines and early learning activities.
After 8:40am
Students arriving after 8:40am must be signed in at the front office before going to class.
